Let me briefly tell you my “hat” story, in other words, how I started to paint hats.
I remember the times when I was little and my mom used to buy for me beautiful colorful hats. Being protective, she used to tell me back then: “Irina, don’t forget your hat when you go outside, the sun is too bright!”
Next, I remember my student project of creating a hat using cardboard and hundred pieces of puzzle, in 2012. I just enjoyed so much to create that hat from scratch! I think this fact led me to try for the first time to paint hats, besides clothes. Thus, I launched my fourth fashion collection during the IAMANIA Art Festival 2015, which included modern ethnic long/midi dresses and hand painted floppy straw hats. 🎨
My customers have started to place orders with hand painted hats. Consequently, I have painted different styles and diverse colors. Fun and delight.
Now let’s talk about the black hat. Or maybe… about the black color in general?
Mystery, elegance, poetry, sophistication, simplicity – no other color is deeper than black. Black was the first color used in art. Black is considered the color of fashion. During Leonardo Da Vinci’ s lifetime, black reached its peak as a color of fashion.
When I say black, I visualize in my imagination the prehistoric caves, the Greek vases, the little black dress created by Coco Chanel, Stendhal’s novel “The red and the black”, Rembrandt`s deep and subtle portraits, Malevich’ s square…
Even though I love to create colorful clothes, I feel most comfortable when I wear black outfits with colorful small details. If I were asked what my favorite outfit is, I would definitely describe this one from the pictures.
The Black and the Roses ❤️
This necklace is my all-time favorite accessory. I bought it from the Moldeco Art-Salon and it is a 100% handmade necklace. It is not printed, not painted, but hand embroidered! Can you imagine how meticulous is this work of art? Just incredible!
